1½ ounces black cherry vodka

¾ ounce Aperol

¾ ounce fresh squeezed lemon juice

¾ ounce simple syrup*

Shake over ice and serve on rocks topped with soda water; garnish with a slice of orange.

* Equal parts sugar and warm water stirred until the sugar dissolves. Refrigerated it will keep for several months.
