frequently asked questions…
FOR SUBSCRIBERS:
I am a subscriber but my copy has not come in the mail yet, even though it is after the publication date. When should I expect my copy to arrive?
First, thank you so much for subscribing! We rely on the support of our partnering advertisers and subscribing readers to pay our writers, photographers, printer and distributor. Second, in order to most cost-effectively ship directly from our printer’s plant in Burlington, VT, we use the bulk mail system through the USPS. Unfortunately, some post offices around the country don’t put a priority on bulk mail, and so copies languish in individual post offices even if they were mailed out on time. So our best advice is to wait a little longer, and then if it still has not arrived, please reach out to us at info@edibleboston.com and we can pop a second copy in the mail to you. And thank you for your patience! We promise, it’s worth it.
What happens if I move? Will my subscription be automatically be forwarded with the rest of my mail?
Unfortunately, no. Bulk mail does not get auto-forwarded, so if you don’t change your address with us, the new occupants of your former home will get a nice gift next season! Just drop us a line at info@edibleboston.com and we will manually change your address in our mailing list. Problem solved!
How do I change my address or cancel my subscription?
You can manage your address change by logging into your account at edibleboston.com; click “My Account,” then Subscriptions. IMPORTANT: If you change your mailing address for a print subscription on our site, please ALSO email us at info@edibleboston.com to let us know; this helps us ensure you don’t miss an issue.
Remember: Our subscriptions will auto-renew one year from the original purchase date. You can cancel future renewals anytime in your account.
FOR ALL OTHER INQUIRIES:
I am a writer and would like to pitch a story to Edible Boston. Or, I am a business owner and would like to tell you about what I do. How do I go about that?
We love to hear from wonderful food writers in Greater Boston and Worcester County. Our issues are planned almost a year in advance, so there aren’t always immediate openings, but if you have a really great story idea, please send it along to Sarah. We can’t guarantee that every good story will get printed, but we do try to read all pitches and if they seem like a good fit for the magazine, we will work with writers to formulate an article.
Where can I find a copy if I am not a subscriber?
First, check this link to find a location near you. If you’re looking for a specific season’s magazine and the places you’ve tried are all out, please send us a note and we can mail one to you, if we have one available: info@edibleboston.com
How can I print one of your stories or recipes to save for later?
The best way to print your favorite articles or recipes is to download an extension for your Chrome browser. Click HERE and add this Print Friendly & PDF creator to your browser. Print (or save as PDF) to your heart’s content!
I am a small business owner and would like to reach Edible Boston’s readers through advertising or sponsored content. Who do I contact for that?
Edible Boston has a powerful readership who use the ads they see printed in our magazine as a guide to where they shop, where they dine out, who remodels their homes or cares for their gardens. Please contact our publisher, Sarah Blackburn, to request a media kit and learn about advertising packages in print or digital—or both.
